Propose a specific object, symbol, creative form or custom, then explain the question the piece will answer. Strong pitches show why the subject is worth a closer look, what context the reader needs, and how the article will avoid treating one example as a universal rule.

What makes a strong contribution

We value precise language, a clear point of view, well-supported factual claims and thoughtful treatment of difference. Tell us what makes your approach distinct, what sources or material you expect to draw on, and whether the idea has appeared elsewhere. Do not send confidential material or unsupported claims.
